How to filter contacts by session status?
Use Contact views to quickly find people based on their session status (Accepted, Declined, Pending) and other session-related flags.
Method 1: Using Pre-Set Filters
Go to the Speakers/Chairpersons/Moderators view, and click one of the pre-set filters at the top:
The list instantly narrows to speakers on sessions with that status—no setup needed:
- Session – Accepted
- Session – Pending
- Session – Declined
Method 2: Manually
1) Go to the Contacts view
-
From your event, open any tab under Contacts, can be 'All Contacts', 'Speakers', 'Chairpersons', 'Moderators, or 'Session Submitters'.
-
Click Show/Hide Fields.

This opens the field picker for the current view.
2) Expose the Session Fields
-
In the field picker, switch to Reporting Fields.

-
Scroll down to Session Fields.
-
Check the boxes for the fields you want to use (e.g., [Session] Status – Accepted, Declined, or Pending).
-
Click Update View to apply.

Tip: You can select the three (Accepted - Declined - Pending) in this section if you plan to filter by different statuses frequently.
3) Add a filter by session status
-
In the left sidebar, under Filters, click Add Filter +.

-
Choose the session field you enabled (e.g., [Session] Status – Accepted).
-
Set the condition (e.g., is checked to include Accepted, or is not checked to exclude).
-
Click 'Add filter' to see matching contacts.

Examples:
• Show only accepted speakers: Filter [Session] Status – Accepted → is checked.
• Find declines: [Session] Status – Declined → is checked.
• Review invites pending: [Session] Status – Pending → is checked.

-
Filters aren’t changing results. Confirm the correct Session Status field is selected and the condition is set to is checked.
